I'm obsessed with this photograph of my grandparents and great grandparents , shot only a few miles from where I sit now.  I love the layers of conversation, the intensity and knowing how the story ended. Turns out, composition and using the frame to it's fullest was a specialty of Life Magazine photographer, Nina Leen's. Check out more of her images here.

Last week I posted some photos from the 5th annual Art Chicas at the La Reunion TX site, in the heart of Oak Cliff. This past weekend I photographed the 1st annual Art Chicos event at the La Reunion TX site. It was a beautiful scene : high school artists working together with local artists in nature . The artwork is energizing & thought-provoking and you can see it for yourself at the La Reunion TX open house this Saturday, Oct 29th from 1-3. Group Exhibition in Houston

Just home from a trip to New Mexico, where along the way I stopped to photograph the mighty, mighty mascots of the Texas schools between here and there . Here is a cell phone sampling. I'll be adding a few from my Hasselblad to the schools section on my website soon (maybe today).
