There is a richness about Kodachrome that not even the highest end digital camera can recreate. Above two of my favorite photographs from Reflection of a Man. All shot with Kodachrome. Rich, saturated and real even 50 years later. RIP kodachrome.

Check out this week's Dallas Observer for Pete Freedman's story Suburban Pop. One of my favorite photo assignments of 2009, thanks Alex. One of the best fly on the wall moments was backstage with Forever the Sickest Kids (FTSK, if you are in the know). Second best was wandering the crowds as kids danced around to a Screamo band from Burleson. I kind of can't get enough of this stuff.

It has been a while since I have blogged about ROAM but the excitement for it has not lessened. Just this year, we have both received a hand full of letters and emails from people inspired by Stanley's insatiable love for life and curious eye. I love the discovery above. I photographed David Carradine for the DMN in 2004. I did not know who he was but was star struck by his bad-assness by the end of the shoot. Carradine redefined cool and flattered me with his charm. RIP David Carradine.
