Last month my friends Doug & Liz asked if I would photograph their sweet dog Dexter whom they knew they would have to put to sleep in the near future. Yesterday they did just that. There is nothing that makes me more sad. Dexter, thanks for sitting for your formal portrait and I hope you are having a ball chasing tennis balls in heaven. RIP sweet dog friend.

Dexter was my best pal for 9 years and was afflicted for the past year with a degenerative nerve disease. His front end and spirit was fantastic, but his hind quarters simply lost their function. Putting him down, while peaceful, was the hardest thing I have ever done. Thanks Allison for this great portrait of a proud, dedicated and intelligent dog.
