dot com disaster

Over the weekend my domain name expired and was purchased by Sergio Kucher. If you were to look at my site (please don't ..he gets $$ each time the site gets hit) it is covered in links to porn, photo sites etc. To fight for my name back will cost me a lot of time and $$ so instead I have decided to change my web name to allisonvsmith.net . Please pass the word on. If you have a link to me on your site , please replace it with my link www.allisonvsmith.net . Wish me luck!

"Indians chase the vision, white men chase the dollar."
--John (Fire) Lame Deer, ROSEBUD LAKOTA

Since the beginning of time, Indian people have been blessed with the ability and knowledge of the vision. The vision determines our future. The concept is, we move toward and become that which we think about. We have known that all visions are about the Great Spirit. They should include God's will in every area of our lives. We should have visions about our people, about healthy relationships, about helping others, about being happy, about being educated. Each day we should renew our vision. We should ask the Creator to give us a vision of what He wants us to be and where He wants us to go in our lives. We should be the seekers of vision.

Great Spirit, give me a vision to follow today.

This is even more perfect...Elder's Meditation of the Day - November 21

"In the absence of the sacred, nothing is sacred -- everything is for sale."
--Oren Lyons, ONONDAGA

The Elders often say that when something is sacred it has spiritual value. You'll hear, on the Earth there are sacred spots. You'll hear, our ceremonies are sacred, our children are sacred, marriage is sacred. When something is sacred it means it's so holy you can't attach a value to it. Therefore, it's not for sale. It's an insult to suggest buying something sacred. On the other hand, if we look at it differently, as there is no sacred land, ceremonies are not sacred, our children are not sacred, etc., then everything is for sale. Sacredness creates spiritual space. Sacredness makes things holy. Sacredness shows respect for God.

Great Spirit, let me honor things that are sacred.

ELIZABETHOWN, KY.
School Web page links to pornographic site

Sam Reynolds got quite a surprise while helping her daughter search her school's Web site.

Reynolds, with her 8-year-old beside her, clicked on a link on the Creekside Elementary School Web page, but instead of educational material for the summer, they got an eyeful of an X-rated site.

The site was supposed to link parents to resources for gifted and talented students.

The Hardin County school system disabled the link Thursday morning.

Patrick Avery, who oversees the school district's Web page, found that the domain name was purchased in March by someone running a pornography site.

A similar site, www.worldgifted.com, is an educational resource page.

The owner of the site that had been linked on the district Web page, Sergei Kucher of New York, said the sexual content has been removed.

I don't know who the bigger dick is: Sergei or the person that let Allison down by not renewing the domain on a timely basis. He/she was responsible for helping her set up the site, assigned him/her self as contact and ignored Register.com's renewal notification. That's a friend???

In fairness to my friend, register.com did not notify him that my site was coming up.

If Register.com did not advise your friend of renewal they certainly share some responsibility.
